Community Autism Resources in Missouri
Welcome to our Community Autism Resources page! Here you will find a Resource Map and an Events Calendar to connect you to autism-friendly resources within your community in the state of Missouri.
This project allows parents and community members to submit autism- and sensory-friendly resources, including those related to health, personal needs, and leisure. Submitted resources are added to a shared Google Map, making them easily accessible for others. Community members can also submit autism-friendly events, which are featured on a public Google Calendar.
Our goal is to increase awareness of and access to resources that support individuals with autism and sensory-processing differences.

**Credit for this concept should be given to MO-FEAT, a St. Louis-based parent organization that used to publish a paper "Resources" guide and to Susan Hekmat, a Southeast RPDC SPED consultant who passed away in 2022. Susan conceived of a Google forms to Google maps crowd-sourced disability-support resource map and presented her idea at MO-CASE's fall conference a few years ago. Project ACCESS had the good fortune to see in action a demonstration of this concept. We honor Susan's memory by carrying on her good work.
