Project Access Autism Bootcamp for Teachers and Related Service Providers

Project Access Certified Staff Autism Bootcamp

The Project Access Certified Staff Autism Bootcamp provides educators in Missouri a systematic way to dive into the world of autism education.  We have created learning modules that will take you through guided readings on how to set up your classroom and structured works systems, as well as online modules that will take you through fundamental and evidence-based practices associated with autism intervention.  Find more details below:

  • Each participant must have regular access to a classroom or service area where children with autism are served in your school (this does not require access to students, just to the physical classroom or treatment area). This does not have to be your classroom or office, but you will need to be able to make modifications to the space to improve it's use for serving this population of children.  It can be an OT or SLP office or therapy room; it doesn't have to be a classroom necessarily.
  • Each participant will have the opportunity to complete assignments that would eventually lead to 30 hours of professional development.  Artifacts of these activities must be uploaded to Blackboard and the participant will receive feedback from their cohort facilitator.
  • We are working hard with the Missouri State University College of Education to provide an opportunity for you for one hour of college credit at half the normal rate.  Fees for this course are the student's responsibility.  If you sign up, we will keep you posted as developments occur.
